About CETN
Message from CEA President Mike Ragsdale
Local leaders are the first line of defense against emergencies such as floods, health epidemics, wildfires and terrorist attacks, and are responsible for protecting the vast majority of critical infrastructure in our country, including hospitals, schools, transportation infrastructure and energy production facilities. CETN was created to fill the glaring need for increased connectivity and collaboration among county officials and all levels of government when dealing with potential threats.
Counties cannot afford to completely rely merely on FEMA or the federal Department of Homeland Security if we are to effectively prevent or otherwise deal with such catastrophes. Our association needs a trusted, objective third party assessment of readiness. The communications network will allow county leaders to collaborate in real-time when emergencies arise, and personnel will have access to information on the latest tools and techniques to keep our communities safe.
The County Executives of America is proud to partner with Critical Information Network (CiNet) on the production and distribution of educational content, providing government personnel and first responders with access to industry-leading eLearning brands such as the Law Enforcement Training Network (LETN), PULSE for EMS professionals, and the Fire and Emergency Training Network (FETN).
