  • What is CEA?

The County Executives of America (CEA) is the only non-partisan association dedicated to advancing the safety and economic interests of local communities across the country. For over 40 years CEA has provided valuable county programs that help local leaders cut costs and improve services.

  • What is CETN?

The County Executive Television Network® is an emergency communications and training resource that allows county executives to share critical emergency response information, collaborate on best practices, and access workforce education. The CETN communications infrastructure connects over 3,000 counties across the nation, and provides educational programming focused on dealing with natural and manmade disasters such as wild fires, hurricanes and terrorist events. The initial phase of CETN will connect county leaders and their staff to a web site that provides resource links, a best practice forum and workforce improvement training to include basic skills, soft skills and professional continued education. Later phases will include an interoperable satellite capability for broadband, continuity of operations and emergency communications.

  • Why would I become a member?

CETN membership has many benefits. Through its website, cetn.criticalinfonet.com , you and your staff will have the ability to choose relevant content for your customized private page, which can include news and video feeds related specifically to your community. There is a secure and confidential forum to share best practices with peers from all over the country, and eLearning courses are available for public safety, healthcare and industrial skills training.

  • How can I become a member?

As a Charter Member your membership is free at this time and open to local and county government leaders and their staff. Interested officials will need to complete the registration form to obtain the user name and password to access the "Member’s Only" section of CETN. Once registered, the government leader can add their staff and manage their user names/passwords.

  • How do I pay for my membership?

Access to the Member’s Only section of CETN is free at this time to government leaders. With the exception of the eLearning courses, the user can access the best practice forum and customize their news, video and weather feeds for free.

  • How do I subscribe to a course?
